Dubai Design District is the most recent addition to Dubai’s free zones. Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid al Maktoum, the UAE’s Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated the d3 free zone in 2013. The goal of establishing the Dubai Design District free zone is to create a custom-made design cluster that would nurture rising local talent and give a home for the country’s creative minds.
Many of the world’s creative hotspots have emerged naturally throughout time as a result of evolving fashion and cultural trends. The designers of the Middle East’s design district are attempting to establish a regional hub for creative design in an ambitious and innovative manner.
