Tax Health Check

  • The business tax health check involves a high-level review of the policies and procedures currently in place around your business’s financial reporting system that ultimately produces information which is provided to revenue authorities.
  • Assess the business in-house accounting records; documentation; VAT records etc.
  • Review Tax filed returns to identify any grey areas where potential VAT errors could occur, and risk areas may arise.
  • Check if the filed Tax returned figures are in accordance with VAT supporting documents which match with match with the business financial records and system.
  • Analyse if the business is applying the proper VAT and Excise laws and regulations in calculating the proper credits or refunds for the business and if the same are claimed in the filed tax returns.
  • Identify areas where the business needs to prepare for a proper tax planning.
  • Review business accounts, records and audit trail appropriateness.
  • Identifying areas of concern and/or opportunities tax risk.
  • Confirm that all business registration documents are in line with the FTA requirements and if all of them are replaced or renewed timely.
